Hello Friends!

Some of you have been asking where I've been, because I haven't written in awhile. Thank you so much for your concern. You all have been so sweet to me!

No, I don't have the Swine Flu (although poor Sharee and two of her kids battled it last month, but are completely better now - thank goodness). I haven't thrown my back out again (Yeah!-the yoga, strength training and stretching are paying off). And, I haven't forgotten about you, but there has been a lot going on. Let me fill you in a bit...

First of all, congratulations to Donny for winning "Dancing with the Stars!"  Wasn't that amazing? Did we have any doubt that he could do it? NO!!! My favorite moment after he and Kym won was when he picked up Debbie and carried her out onto the ballroom floor to be with him while he held the trophy. Wasn't that just the sweetest thing?

In honor of his win, I'm FEATURING our "Ballroom Dance Scrapbook Kits" in Kandi's Korner this week! (Also, check out our CLEARANCE section for your last chance to get "Layton Scrapbook Kits" and "Autograph Books" from previous shows.)

My other great news is that Eric, Marc and I are having a wonderful time in Branson, Missouri celebrating Thanksgiving and my birthday with Jay. Yesterday, we went to McFarlan's Restaurant at the IMAX complex and enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving Feast with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, yams, etc. Well, at least Eric and I did. Marc had lasagna and Jay ordered the shrimp. How they can do that on THANKSGIVING is beyond me, but to each his own. At least I didn't have to cook this year. : )  We're having so much fun just being together again. We all really miss Jason and are looking forward to his return from his service in Nashville in April.

Several of you have been wondering when our Christmas items will be available for purchase on Kandi's Korner. The answer is...SOON! Kevin is updating our banner for the season, and Sharee and I are working like crazy to get some new items made. I'm afraid we "bit off a bit more than we can chew" at The Quilted Bear in Provo. We rented TWO booths, side by side, and it has proven to be a huge undertaking to try to keep it stocked. We should have only rented one booth until we got the hang of it, I guess. The market there is quite different than what we have experienced on etsy and at Kirkpatricks. THREE of our best quality bracelets were stolen within the first two weeks, which was VERY discouraging for me. The owner of the store warned me that there could be some theft, but I wasn't quite prepared for that. I've put an anti-theft device on the remaining bracelet, but it affects the look of the bracelet and makes it difficult to try it on. Needless to say, I will NOT be putting any more of those there!

Anyway, I appreciate your patience with us as we've tried out this new venture. I have just updated our Kandi's Korner Shop and we will be adding new items soon!

Have a wonderful week!
Kandi

P.S. What do you think of Jay's new CD? I absolutely LOVE it. I play it in my car at home all of the time! My favorite songs are "Smile,","Sugar, Sugar" and, of course, Jay's incredible drum Solo! What are your favorites?
