Issue 3

Hello everyone!

I just had a wonderful suggestion by Margie who visited Kandi's Korner recently. She had gone to see The Osmond Brothers in Layton, Utah, where she was disappointed at not being able to find scrapbooking items specific to that trip. She asked me if I could create something that would allow her to scrapbook her photos, and I happily did! Check out our new scrapbook kits at kandiskorner.com under "Cards/Scrapbooking."

I was thinking I might make kits similar to these for the various locations where Jay performs, and was wondering if this might be something people would be interested in. Are you? You can let me know what you think by sending me a "conversation" on our site by entering the "contact the seller" section. If you have a very specific item that you would like to request, go to "Request Custom Item" and we'll be happy to respond to your request ASAP!

Sharee and I are having so much fun with this shop. It's been exciting to have customers from California to Florida! Everyone we have worked with has been so very nice. It's been a pleasure.

We also have had recent success with boutiques in our area here in Utah. There is a store called "Christy's" in Highland, that has bought some of our jewelry to be in their new Fall line, and they've requested that we make more jewelry and even some pillows! Another store, called "Kirkpatricks," in Saratoga Springs, has allowed us to display as many of our items as we choose in the housewares department of their store! It was so exciting for Sharee and I to set up our displays!

Our next big adventure will be a "Fall Craft Show" in Spanish Fork (where Suzanne Osmond is from). We are trying to decide if we want to do a booth in October or November. We will need to create more items! If any of you have suggestions for the type of items you'd like to see in Kandi's Korner, please feel free to make suggestions, like Margie did. We are always open to new ideas!

Thank you to all of you who have checked out our site. Margie mentioned that in Vegas, Jay asked the fans if they had gone to Kandi's Korner and so many said they did.  That made my day!

Your Friend,
Kandilyn Osmond

Above - The door to "Kandi's Korner"

The photo of the sewing machine has sentimental value. That's the machine that Jay's mother and father gave me as a wedding gift! I absolutely LOVE it - always have. It's over 22 years old and still works great! It's actually yellowed with age (that's not because the flash wasn't working- ha!). The machine sits just outside the door to my office, so it's still sort of part of Kandi's Korner. I also tried to get in the photo a bit of a really cool collage that Jimmy gave us about eight years ago. He had it in his store in Park City, but really wanted us to have it. It has one of the actual holsters that Jay and his older brothers wore on an episode of The Andy Williams Show, and an autographed photo of them.
