Hi!
Did you all watch "Dancing with the Stars" last night? Wasn't
Donny great?! I thought he deserved higher scores, but it's only
the first week and I KNOW he'll do GREAT! One thing I know about
Donny is when he puts his mind to something (anything) it'll be amazing!
I have to admit, I forgot to watch the show last night when it was on. I
was engrossed in making scrapbook kits - how ironic, huh? (Photos
of my new scrapbook kits available in
Kandi's Korner are shown below.) Anyway,
luckily, we recorded it, so Marc and I got to see the opening (weren't
the guy pro dancers FANTASTIC?!), and Donny's dance during breakfast
this morning. Marc was impressed, so he immediately texted Jay to say,
"I think it's safe to say that Uncle Donny certainly has inherited some
of those talented Osmond genes!" (I thought that was a rather
funny, but intelligent observation for a 13 year old - Ha!) Jay wrote
back, "Thanks. I'll tell him you said so!" Ha!
So, did all of you vote last night? Unfortunately, I remembered
too late and Marc and I felt really bad that we didn't vote. But,
based on the audience's reaction, I don't think he'll be hurting for
votes this week. :-) Did any of you go to the taping in
Hollywood? Shall I make some "Dancing with the Stars" scrapbook
kits? Let me know if you went, and if you'd like me to do that.
I'm really enjoying making the kits. I've made three more for Layton (I
think I'm done with Layton now!), and one for the Hollywood Walk of Fame
(I know it's been years since they got the Star, but I came across a
cutout of "Hollywood" that I couldn't resist). I feel happy
knowing that someone will be adding their own special photos to the
items I put together. I'd love to see some finished pages
sometime!
I'll be listing my brother Kevin's Halloween Wall Hangings today, so
watch for those. He's made up some clever sayings and artwork that
he generated on his computer, adhered to a wood plaque, and hung with
ribbon. Very fun and unique!
Have any of you been to Branson to see The Osmond Brothers Show yet?
I'm looking forward to going next week. Jay is now doing the
"Little Bit Rock and Roll" part in the show with Babette. He's
been really nervous about it. I don't know why he doesn't like to
sing lead - he's so good at it, don't you agree? I guess when you
get used to doing things a certain way all your life, it can be hard to
change. Kind of like Donny's dancing. He's incredibly entertaining
(heck, that's what he's been doing since he was five years old!), but
now he has to change his style a bit to dance ballroom correctly.
He'll do it! Just watch and see! Kym seems like a great
teacher, and no one is more motivated than my perfectionist (in a good
way) brother-in-law!! :-)
Have a great day everybody!
Kandi
