Issue 8 - October 16, 2009

Hello!

I wanted to take a moment to write and thank all of you who have contacted me in the past week or so. I've received numerous responses to the 1970s jumpsuit question. It's now as CLEAR AS MUD (as my mother would say) - Ha!!! But, seriously, I want to say "thanks." I had no idea there would be so many different answers. There must have been several sets of jumpsuits! Someone told me that on one of the suits Jay's symbol was a "flower." What's THAT all about? Ha! Anyway, I now have what I need, I think, and plan to do something with the information soon.

Speaking of getting around to projects, I finally got all of my "Branson" and "Dancing with the Stars" Scrapbook Kits listed. Yeah! It was time consuming and labor intensive, but fun. I think I need to take a break from stickers and paper cut-outs for awhile though. :)

If you get a moment, check out an idea that my brother, Kevin, is working on. It's a collection of autograph/memory books that we're creating for the various venues where the Osmond Brothers perform (at least the performances that involve Jay). I thought, since many of you have been fans for a long time, it might be fun to have a way to create a keepsake that's very specific to a time and place. The one we have out right now is for the 2009 Fall/Christmas Season in Branson. If you go to KandisKorner.com, you can read all the details in the listing. We plan to make more for each venue if people are interested. Let us know what you think!

I also wanted to thank those of you who have inquired about my back. It's been over a week and it still hurts, but is much better thank goodness. It's times like this when I count my blessings and take my health just a little bit less for granted.

Exciting news for Kandi's Korner! We just agreed to a six month contract to do a Crafter's Booth at "The Quilted Bear" in Provo, Utah! The idea came to us as a suggestion from one of you, so thanks! :) Because the store is open year round, we're hoping it will give Sharee and I a consistent place where we can showcase many of our items without the stress and pressure of toting everything around or having to photograph and list every item we make. I like the idea that people can see our work, pick it up, and walk out of the store with it if they choose to buy it. We'll see how it goes.

Lastly, I wanted to say thank you to the fans who have visited the "Osmond Theatre" since my last letter and said "Hello" to Jay for me. I talked to him the other night on the phone about it and he seemed to really get a kick out of it. He was laughing and saying, "WHAT did you do???" I could tell that it has really made his week. So, thank you!

Kandi
