I feel the reason that your family has
such a big loyalty is that you stand for wholesome values. I have watched
your family since I was a little girl, now I am 32. I feel your family
stands for the importance of family and how important it is in this
society. Family, I feel is so important and we all need more time as a
family unit. Thanks, Dawn
I can't speak for everyone, but I know that for
my friend Kristy and I (friends since we were in the 4th grade, and we're
42 now!) it was a sense of finding our place in the world through your
music. We weren't into drugs, we weren't into acid rock, we felt like
outcasts among our school peers, but along came this group of guys with
music that was beautiful, with lyrics that actually said something
positive about the world. I think we stopped thinking of ourselves as
geeks right about then. Thanks, guys. You helped two gawky girls get
through adolescence and come out the other side. For that, and other
reasons, the brothers will always have a warm place in our hearts. ~
Melissa Everett
I've been a fan of the Osmond family since
1972. I have spina bifida, and have been confined to a wheelchair since
birth. I feel that one of the many reasons I've remained so loyal to you
and your family for so long is because not only do I like you and what you
do, but I also have so very much respect and admiration for all of you.
Some could say you guys went to the school of hard knocks where your
careers were concerned. Despite that, you never compromised any of your
beliefs or principles. Also, your brother Alan has handled his handicap (I
hesitate to use the word handicap, because he certainly has not treated it
as such) with more class than I could have ever done had I gotten my
handicap when he did. Love ya, Lisa Pirman
Because you use your God given talents so
deliberately and we can see the purpose so vividly. It makes God and
goodness real to even a non-committed soul. You have all gathered many
with your passion to pursue the plan in a gentle and pleasant way. You
give notice to the multitudes thus attracting them to you. Then with
yourselves, you show them the way home...where all naturally long to be
anyway. Love, Sharyl
Because you're talented, and extremely
cute!! Julie
The Osmond family is just that--a family. Fans
have the opportunity to become familiar with a family that has standards,
a belief that they live their lives by and is an example to all. They are
never controversial, and I never worry that they will do, say or become
involved in something that I would not want my kids to hear or see. Their
music has variety which appeals to everyone. The show in Branson in
wonderful, and again, is something for everyone. Thank you for bringing us
into your family! Kathy Gomez ~ Baker, CA
My loyalty to the Osmond family is three-fold;
first, my parents wholeheartedly approved of my three sisters and I
listening to the Osmond Brothers' music. Secondly, I have always enjoyed
the style of entertainment provided by every member of the Osmond family.
And lastly, exposure to the Osmonds' view of Utah was a major part of a
life changing move I made with my husband to Hyrum, Utah. I love UTAH and
I am happy to say that the Osmond family are great ambassadors for this
great state. Being loyal to a family that embraces a set of true family
values is easy! Marjan Nyland
To answer your question fully would take too
long, but for now I'd just like to say that I've always appreciated the
example you've all been. I like the way you love people, no matter what!
Sometimes I wish my family were more like yours, but then I think if that
were so, I wouldn't be me (ok so that may not be so good - only joking!).
I don't mean the famous bit either, fame and money have never meant much
to me - but security and peace does. Take good care, love
always Hazel Price
You and your family were always there for me.
As a young girl I was very shy and found it hard to make friends. The
situation made me very sad, but the music of your family and all of the
facts in magazines and such provided great comfort and eased my pain so
much. Today, you are all still here for me. I have four fantastic kids and
a great husband, but I still wish for friends. When I'm down, I go to
Osmond web pages to see what my family is doing. I would love to meet all
of you and just hug the stuffins out of ya! This will probably never
happen, but know how much you all mean to me and how I truly love you in
my heart as my family. With heartfelt love and great
thanks, Rhonda Hogan
Because after all these years you are still the
good natured children that you always were! Jeanne
Collier
Besides being extremely talented and popular,
the Osmond family were "the guys next door," "all american boys,"
(interchange girl for Marie of course). They are genuine, warm, honest and
friendly. The emotions you see in their performances, you see in their
regular lives. They have strong moral and religious convictions and have
been an example to the world of faith, determination, hard work, integrity
and love, and people have leaned toward them like people do toward a warm
fire. They found a small spot in each of our hearts way back in the 60's
and 70's, and like an old friend, you always want to "catch up" on their
whereabouts. Krikit
The smiles! Really those smiles carry love,
caring and concern for us as people...it is the symbol that sums up all
that you are. And you are a wonderful group of people who are happy and
willing to share that happiness. Thanks for your love. Susan Jones ~
MO
You are simply good people - honest people,
kind people, decent people. You are, and have always been, an inspiration
to me. When I was growing up, I didn't realize what a positive influence
you had on my life. My teen years went very smoothly, thanks to you! Thank
God for the gift of The Osmonds. Lori Morrison ~ Georgetown,
Ontario, Canada
I came over to Branson last September and gave
you my conversion story outside the theatre. You may not remember me, but
I will never forget that moment...I had prayed for it for 24 years!! That
would be one answer for me, also your devotion to each other has helped me
through difficult times with my family when I was investigating the
church. Obviously, you all are amazingly talented and so professional and
gracious in all you do. I could go on forever, but I promise I won't!
THANK YOU again for being so kind and gracious last year. I spoke to each
of you, a lifelong dream came true and I will be eternally grateful to you
all, but most especially to you for your encouragement when all seemed
lost in my attempt to join the church. I would not have made it without
you. You are my missionaries!! Teresa Wiles
You all have made yourselves so approachable
over the years, especially since performing in Branson. Most stars don't
do that. And without a doubt, there is your unconditional love for your
family and fans....and your faith, and awesome music from the first to the
most current album. Becky VanNortrick ~ Chandler, AZ
You're like family to me...no...you are family!
God made us all! You treat people the way you expect to be treated. I love
the music...love you! Lori Haskins ~ Warsaw, IN
You are family to me, and the role models that
helped shape my life. Plus, there is the music! Heidi Gustafson ~
Devils Lake, ND
Your family seems to have the kind of LOVE AND
CLOSENESS that every family wants...but somehow, those ideals don't always
become a reality. Keep on lighting up our lives with your talents and your
shining example of what FAMILY is all about! Kathy G. ~
NJ
It reminds us of our youth...when life was so
much more carefree. Our parents actually let us have freedom to go out and
travel. All the fans had the common bond and looked out for each other. It
was a fun time...before we started careers and
family. Cyndee
Osmond fans are treated like friends. The
values that your parents raised you, your brothers, and Marie with are the
ones that I value and teach my own children. The family's faith in
Heavenly Father, and that they are not afraid to show their love for the
church, their families, and fans is what instills such a great
loyalty! Debra ~ ID
Well, they say that "True Love Lasts Forever" -
need I say more? Laurie Burt ~ Waterford, MI
The Osmonds give us faith in family, our God
and ourselves. Music that is clean and uplifting. My children are now
Osmond fans, and while they don't have the memories of fan
magazines...posters on the wall...concerts that were a joy, they still
have wonderful music! Debra Chase
I am 35 years old and grew up listening to the
Osmonds' music. My parents would tell me to turn it down because I would
play the music way too loud, but they NEVER had to worry about what kind
of music I was listening too. I often think that if teenagers these days
listened to music like the Osmonds, maybe we wouldn't think of a terrible
tragedy when we think of a town called Littleton, Colorado. Jennifer
Gebhart ~ Eureka, MO
Your unquestionable musical talents, your
perfectionism in performing those talents, the ready smiles to see us all
whenever and wherever you are. But it is really more than "loyalty," it is
because we have been blessed, in this world, to recognize the gift of you,
and it is an eternal gift. Always was, always will be...and our lives are
so much richer because of that. There is at the heart of me a
"homesickness" for your family when I cannot see you, that I can
understand in no other way. Thank you for being just who you were supposed
to be! Susan Williams ~ Wales UK
I must say that my loyalty of many years comes
from the stability and strength that your family has portrayed. That was
very comforting to me. My confirmation was when your family had their
reunion on the Donny and Marie show. The the love and tears displayed were
a true display of family strength! Sandi Gillard
For me what instilled the loyalty is the time
in which I started being in love with the Osmond Brothers. I was barely a
teenager, and it was a time in my life when music and society had its
biggest effect. You guys were such a positive role model. There was just
something about you then that warmed my heart and that same feeling is
still here. The Osmond family is still doing it now (being great role
models) as you proved on the Donny and Marie reunion show. The closeness
and respect y'all have for each other is inspiring! If only the world
could be the same! I can still put on an Osmond record and all of those
feelings from such an innocent time in my life come back! Thanks for the
great memories and I will be a lifetime fan! With love and
loyalty. Beverly Eastwood
Your genuiness, love, devotion, to God and us.
You are the rarest thing in the entertainment business today, and that's
why you've lasted 40 years doing what you do best! If you don't love what
you do, what's the point of continuing? You've proved time and time again
that you love what you do, and the perserverance that you have shows
it!!!! Keep up the good work! Beth Hanley ~ Albany,
NY
Growing up in the 70's was a hard time. Drugs
were all around as well as other things. Your family set an example that
being moral and religious had more advantages. Many friends using drugs
ended up lost or dead. I followed the example your family set and I have a
beautiful family and a marriage that has lasted 19 years and is still
going strong. If it wasn't for your family example, I would have ended up
lost. I can never THANK your family enough. P.S. I have kept the
spelling of my first name the way it was spelled by THE OSMOND FAN CLUB.
Thanks, it is unique! Mille Lombardi
In the mid 80's after attending one of your
shows in Oregon, you and your brothers were signing autographs...the line
was a mile long! When I finally approached you, you looked up, smiled and
said "Hi, I'm Jay, what's your name?" I have never forgotten how that made
me feel. To know that you were kind enough to "personalize" our brief
meeting was truly special to me. We are loyal because you show us the same
kind of loyalty. Denyce Chambers ~ Beaverton, Oregon
It is because you are the real thing. You kept
true to yourselves and your family and your faith. There is no better
compliment that I can give you. Monica ~ Frankenmuth,
MI
Your genuine love for each other. Jane
Rahm ~ Greenville, NC
You are what you are. You are all genuine,
talented, respectful, decent human beings who bring joy to not only my
life, but millions of others. You prove that you don't have to be loud,
offensive or controversial to be noticed. Your dignity is
inspirational. Lea Armstrong ~ Sydney, Australia
There is something very magical and unique
about your family. I think you truly love and care for us, and it comes
across in your music, and your actions. Joni Grossman ~ Santa
Monica, CA
It's hard to put it in words, but when I listen
to my old Osmond albums it gives me such a feeling of peace and happiness.
It sends me back to my youth and teen years when I didn't have much to
worry about and hardly any responsibilities. As a mother of three
teenagers now, I sure have plenty to worry about. Dorothy West ~
Toms River, NJ
Your family has always shown love, a calmness,
and peace. I guess in this crazy world why wouldn't anyone be loyal to
that. Cyndee Gibson
True friends are hard to find, and when you
find one, it is best to hang onto them. I think of your family as friends.
So for 22 years I have had very special friends, and your family has had
my friendship and support. I will continue loving and caring about all the
Osmonds. Debbie Ellis-McAlester ~ OK
There are many wonderful things about your
family. But, for me, what instills great loyalty is that I owe you so
much. In the 70's, many of us were growing up in homes where it wasn't
accepted to talk about God, about feelings, about our dreams and hopes.
During the Osmond television shows, you brought a Family Night into our
homes once a week. Personally, I started aspiring to raise a family with
those values, instead of the ones that made me a lonely, insecure child.
Now I have a beautiful family of my own, a wonderful husband, three
amazing children, a career as a published writer, a strong faith that has
carried me through much. Your family's influence gave me many of these
gifts. I am so grateful. Jean Rogers
You all are FAMILY to us. I've loved the music all
these years, and was so pleased to find out at a young age that you went
to Church too! Your smiles show you care, and you all are so sincere to
others. You have the closeness and love that some families do not have.
Thank you for being a positive role model for me growing up, my parents
were happy with my choice too. Keep smiling, and sharing the hugs with
us. Carol Hooten ~ Joplin, MO
Your family's example to all of us!! All of you
live the gospel, not just talk about it. Sherri Coonfield ~ Bonaire,
GA
You have always seemed like real people. You
always stood for your beliefs. And the music was, and is always something
you can listen to and enjoy. We've never met, but we have been "friends"
for nearly 30 years. NoraJean ~ Buford, GA
You treat us like friends, not
commodities. Gerry ~ York, UK
Yours has always been my surrogate large,
close-knit family I longed to be part of! I have just been reunited with
some of my own seven brothers and sisters! I have the large family I
always longed for!!! Connie Floray ~ Lansing, KS
You and your family's morals, talent and
appreciation for your fans. Donna Hilton ~ Westminster,
MA
Since being a young child, I have enjoyed the
Osmond music, but I think it was their family values and the way they give
to and love everyone so unconditionally that has kept me a follower for so
many years. You know, I feel that you get what you give, and the Osmond
family is just as loyal to their friends and fans as we are to
them. Rona Coleman ~ Frankfort, IL
You and your family are very warm, loving,
caring, and very decent minded people. Suzanne
Gordon
Because you have never let me down. So many
other favorite celebrities have run-ins with drugs or personal behavior
problems. Often it affects their performances. Never with the Osmond
family. You always deliver a class act, on or off the stage. That's why
I'll be a fan forever. Darla ~ Mpls, MN
I love the music and the boys that grew into
men....we grew up with them and they are great friends. Maggie
Coates ~ England
You show everyone that family does work, and
that family does and should come first. You didn't change with all the
fame. That's what has kept me loyal through the last 35 years. Don't ever
change. Elizabeth (Liz) Perrin ~ Metairie, Louisiana
We grew up with you all! In fact, you're almost
family! Ha! Carolyn ~ UK
Your beliefs, and your kindness toward your
fans. Donna ~ Villas NJ
I think it's the spirit that each of you were
given the gift of, and you have lived your lives in a way that spirit has
been able to touch others. I know because, I have felt it, and I have
friends that are not members that have mentioned it and wondered just what
it was that made them feel all warm and "right" with y'all. Carolyn
Bendall ~ Memphis, TN
Their genuine fondness for their
fans. Alison Borro ~ England
Well....of course, the devotion to your family,
God and your beliefs. The loyalty you have for everything you believe in.
The happiness you bring each of us with your talents and your smiles. The
kindness you always show us no matter what the case. The continued support
you have for US as a fan after so many years. And because of YOU, ALAN,
WAYNE, MERRILL, DONNY, JIMMY, MARIE, TOMMY, VIRL, GEORGE AND OLIVE.....YOU
ARE ALL THE GREATEST!!!! Jerri Nelson ~ Vernon, TX
You have a great sound as a group...you are
good, clean, courteous and just plain nice people…and you are just so
cute!!!!! Rebecca Brunetta ~ Greensburg, PA
Fame has not gone to their heads. They take
time to talk to their fans. Their faith in God and not being afraid to
show it. They are down to earth and real. Beth Furlow ~
Jacksonville,Arkansas
You came along at a time when I was young and
vulnerable, and I fell for your image. It is like your first love, you
never forget it. Lucky for me you are still around, and so am
I! Amanda ~ Vancouver, Canada
You've never disappointed me over the years.
You have continued to give us good quality entertainment. Anne
McDonald ~ Latrobe, PA
You and your family were always kind and
willing to take time out to be with your fans. You made me feel special
everytime we met, and always smiled and seemed to care and really
appreciate that I was there. You helped me grow up. Diana
Kumar
I believe it would have to be the care and
concern each one of you express for us. Not many people would take as much
time as you all do for your fans. You all seem to be very down-to-earth
also. Some people are just not approachable ~ that's not the case with any
of you. Louise ~ San Diego, CA
I've only been an Osmond fan since I heard
Boyzone's version of "Love Me For a Reason" in 1994. As I was born in
1980, I had to ask my Aunty about you all. She played me some of your
records and I was very impressed! The answer to your question is that all
of you are such sweetly natured while outgoing at the same time. There is
just a sense of warmth in your music that is so appealing to all. Other
than that you all are very committed to family values and it's just nice
to see that these days! Blah, blah, blah! I could go on all day! All my
love and prayers to you all. Lisa ~ Perth, Western
Australia
I love the Osmonds! Your family is one I try
and model my current family values with. I love the commitment you have
with your family and spouse. I never had that in my personal life, so I am
inspired by yours. The Osmonds always looked like they were having fun
during the good old days on TV. Maybe we are all so loyal to you because
you became our TV families in the 70's and we just want to stay in touch
with you like a good family does with each other. Cheryl
Reisman
Because they work hard to maintain and share
their obvious talents in music and I love their smiles. They make me
smile! They bring happiness into my life for a few minutes, and life is so
much better when you're smiling and happy! Stephanie
Nolan
