We saw so many wonderful sites and met some amazing people along the way. One of my favorite parts of the trip was having the opportunity to spend so much time with my dad. I live away from home since I’m a college student, so I don’t get to see my dad nearly enough. We had fun talking, site seeing, watching movies, and drinking hot chocolate from Starbucks whenever we had the chance. I think my favorite day of the entire tour was when we went to the Caversham Wildlife Park in Perth, Australia. We fed the kangaroos and got to pet the koalas and a wombat. I had no idea how much dad loved animals! I should have known from all of the animal wildlife shows he watches on TV. He was always lagging behind the tour group because he was having so much fun with the animals. I also enjoyed getting to know my aunts, uncles, and cousins a little bit better. We don’t get to see each other that often because we all have a lot going on, so it was nice to have some time to hang out them. One of my favorite times with them was when we went to the market in Kuala Lumpur. We found some great deals on souvenirs! I also loved chatting with my aunts backstage at the shows. They told me some pretty funny stories from the past! Speaking of the shows . . . I loved them! I got a chance to really sit and watch the show at the final dress rehearsal in Belfast. During the rest of the tour, I watched pieces of the show from the side of the stage whenever I wasn’t busy helping Aunt Marie with her costume changes. My favorite part of the show was “The Plan” medley. I’ve always loved those songs and the messages they hold, but I’ve rarely seen them performed on stage. So, I was excited that they included the songs in the tour. In the middle of the medley, Uncle Jay did an intense drum solo that seemed to get better with every show. I also loved watching my dad rock out on his guitar during “The Plan” medley, “Crazy Horses,” and “Hold Her Tight.” All of the brothers and Marie did a great job, and I was really proud of all of them! They worked so hard to make the shows and the tour a success. I’m so grateful that I was able to go on this tour to see the shows, experience different cultures, spend time with my family, and meet the wonderful people who have known my family and their music through the years. Congratulations on 50 wonderful years! ~ Michelle Osmond
